A Day in the Life of: Skye Blake Head of Local Marketing [Series Post #5]

Blogs / September 5, 2017

A business is nothing without the people that hold it together, and at LinkNow Media, we have a lot of glue! It’s always fun to get insight into what someone’s day at work might be like, especially when they are doing a different job than you. So, we put the word out and received some great responses!

The Work Day

Skye’s morning ritual consists of working out and then getting to the office when it’s still silent and dark to organize her day and get the majority of her work done before everyone else comes in—this is the calm before the storm.

Her workspace isn’t something she’s picky about, though she’ll admit some of the workspaces in the office give her anxiety.

Throughout the day, Skye does a lot, including:

Task distribution

Random checks of task completion

Fixing mistakes

Answering a billion questions

Creating/updating templates/sequences to improve the productivity of the team

… and a whole lot more than that. When asked about what she does on breaks, she replies: “What breaks?”

There isn’t a lot that can ruin her day except employees who don’t show up and don’t even bother to come up with a good excuse.

The Support System

Like most employees at LinkNow Media, Skye loves the people she works with. She thinks the company has a great team, with all types of different people that come together working hard while having a good time.

What keeps her coming back every day is that it’s such a great company in every aspect—and one she respects and values. She loves the constant change. Just when you get comfortable, everything changes—especially when Eve is around! The fact that Skye can constantly learn, teach and help people are just some of the things she loves about her job.

In Closing

When asked for any final words, Skye added: “I have the best partner ever!!! Just saying.”

Skye’s three keys for success in the Local Marketing department:

Team Work

Hard Work

Openness
