The Job

As a member of LinkNow’s Tech Support team, you will facilitate unforgettable customer service experiences for our clients. Through frequent email and telephone correspondence, you will help small business owners troubleshoot technical problems, diagnose hardware issues, and resolve software malfunctions.

The Ideal Candidate

  • Experience: Help desk tech support, customer service experience, and technical ability are considered assets. We invite experienced and inexperienced applicants to apply!
  • Communication: You have strong telephone communication skills and can explain complicated ideas in simple terms that anyone can understand.
  • Empathy: You’re able to calmly troubleshoot and resolve problems with clients who may be frustrated with difficult issues.
  • Independent: You are a quick learner and excel at working independently within a team environment.
  • Organization: You are able to organize a range of tasks with multiple deadlines—and you always meet those deadlines.
  • Technical: Even if you don’t have formal tech support training, you have a technical aptitude and you are an excellent problem solver.
  • Assets: Experience with WordPress, PHP, website and email hosting, CRM, domains, and comfort with cPanel are all considered assets.
  • Language: Because most of our clients are English, perfect command of English is a requirement. Spanish is considered an asset.

The Responsibilities

  • Provide over-the-phone technical support for our web design and digital marketing clients. Including but not limited to:
  • Email creation, migration, and set-up on a variety of devices and applications (Outlook, Thunderbird, Mac Mail, iPhone, Android Mail, etc.)
  • Email delivery issues (client level, host level, firewall troubleshooting)
  • SSL installation and troubleshooting
  • Create, edit, and troubleshoot DNS (A-Record, TXT, NS, MX, SVR) records for client domains
  • Website uptime
  • Facilitate domain transfers and updates

Overview

Hours: 9AM-5PM, Monday to Friday. Option to work 12pm-8pm. Weekend shifts also available for emergency technical support.

Salary: $16/hr + Bonus
