A business is nothing without the people that hold it together, and at LinkNow Media, we have a lot of glue! It’s always fun to get insight into what someone’s day at work might be like, especially when they are doing a different job than you. So, we put the word out and received some great responses!

The Work Day

Jillian is a creature of habit, meaning that every night she picks out her clothing for the day, so that she can get up, shower, get dressed, and do her makeup efficiently. She then brightens her day before heading out the door by saying goodbye to her boyfriend and cats.

She gets pumped up for work by listening to rap (namely Carbi B) on the drive to the office and then grabs a Full Throttle energy drink before settling down at her desk. She keeps her workspace clean—no muss, no fuss! To avoid throwing out important papers, she keeps them in a folder, and recommends this practice to anyone else looking for a way to stay on top of things.

Jillian’s work day consists of running GMB checks (fixing Google My Business pages for clients that are currently marketing with us), doing social media posts for clients across multiple platforms, and sometimes helping clients with their LNL tool. This is the tool LinkNow created to help customers get reviews more easily on Google! Need a password, new email, or to figure out why something’s not working? Jillian is your girl.

Having a positive and energetic attitude can get you a long way. The only thing that can ruin Jillian’s day is the weather. Especially in the winter. Crazy cold and snow makes it tough to walk to work! Power outages are tough too—and when Google My Business decides not to work.

The Support System

Having been in two other departments before this one (opening and sales) Jillian can say this one suits her work abilities much better. She types fast and is a perfectionist so being able to use her “flaw” of obsessively catching and fixing mistakes is something she’s really happy about! Plus, not talking on the phone is nice.

Overall, the thing that gets her coming back every day is the environment, and the job itself.

Jill says the people working in the LinkNow office are just awesome—seriously. It’s not like any other place she’s ever worked. People are down to earth, kind, ready to help, and no one—including management—makes you feel like you don’t belong. She’s made good friends, best friends even, in her time here. Not to mention the cafeterias are kick ass. Xbox, ping pong table, free breakfast, juice, coffee. What more could you ask for?

Jillian’s three keys for success in the Quality Control Department:

  • Work hard.
  • Be attentive.
  • Be kind.
  • And of course, have fun—life is already too serious!
