A business is nothing without the people that hold it together, and at LinkNow Media, we have a lot of glue! It’s always fun to get insight into what someone’s day at work might be like, especially when they are doing a different job than you. So, we put the word out and received some great responses!
The Work Day
In a world of night owls, Shayne Scherer is an early bird.
Shayne’s day begins with an alarm at 5:35 am, which he tries his best to ignore for five or ten minutes.
After a brisk morning workout, Shayne arrives at work an hour early, settling in with a cup of coffee and easing into things. This allows him to have a sharpened edge on the day, every day.
As a Junior Developer at LinkNow, Shayne builds beautiful, intuitive, and easily-navigable websites.
His other responsibilities include putting together in-house development projects and assisting other designers. He’s a busy guy, but Shayne’s positive attitude and endless streams of energy allow him to tackle even the most hectic days.
Born and raised in the great city of Montreal, Shayne first discovered his passion for design and marketing as a student. He completed a diploma in web design and has been a member of the LinkNow team for the past year and a half.
Shayne keeps his workspace free of excess and clutter, except for his incredibly large water jug which keeps him refreshed and hydrated all day. He’s also unapologetic in his love for food- as a serious bodybuilder, he knows the importance of fueling the fire.
At his desk, Shayne stays focused by listening to music. Forgetting his headphones at home is just about the only thing that can ruin Shayne’s day.
As someone with a sharp eye for detail and design, Shayne thrives in the website development environment. His analytical and creative sides are put to full use in his role as a Junior Developer.
Shayne stays passionate by learning something new every day. A steady stream of new clients and designs is sure to keep things interesting.
The Support System
Shayne can’t say enough good things about the supportive and encouraging staff at LinkNow.
“We’re a great team…we can all work together and learn from each other. You never have to feel shy asking your coworkers for help or their input. I’ve made a lot of great friends here,” Shayne says.
